Gutters are important. Their job is to collect and divert water that falls on your roof. But if they are neglected they fill with leaves and debris, which blocks the downpipes, causing the water to overflow. So it’s important to clear your gutters regularly, especially if your house is surrounded by trees. The gutters on this house at Currimundi were filled with leaves and dirt, and the downpipes were blocked. In addition, the outside of the gutters were coated in a layer of mould and grime, which can lead to rust. Check out the photos to see the result after we cleared the gutters of debris, and cleaned the outsides. The gutters are now free flowing and water is being diverted to the downpipes as intended.
