Sometimes gutters host an entire ecosystem. Just check out the gutters on this house at Sunshine Beach. They were full of plants growing in a thick layer of soil that had built up, because the downpipes were completely blocked. Even though this house is very old and not in great condition, it’s important to keep the gutters maintained so they don’t rust through, causing an expensive gutter replacement. We cleared the gutters and downpipes on the house and carport, so now the water flows away as intended.
