Many rural areas on the Sunshine Coast rely on rainwater tanks for their water supply. This old Queenslander in Conondale is a classic example of a house that relies on water collected from the roof. But with the gutters full of leaves and other debris, the water in the tanks ends up tainted. And that’s if the water can even get into the tank – if the downpipes are blocked, the water will just overflow onto the ground. Regular gutter cleans are essential if you rely on rainwater tanks, and have trees around the house. While on the roof, we also cleaned the solar panels to ensure maximum efficiency.
